About our President
Agodi Kanu is a Nigerian security consultant, author, public speaker and the Global/National President of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu Alumni Association. Born in Arochukwu, Abia State, he is a prominent professional voice in security, community policing and institutional development.
He is the Convener, Security Roundtable and founder of securityinfo. Mazi, as he is fondly and widely known is the Director-General of Network for Advocacy and Good Leadership Initiative (NAGLI).
Background and Education: Born on June 26, 1969, in Arochukwu, Abia State. Studied at Agbani Road Primary School, Enugu, Uwani Secondary School, Enugu, the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He also attended the Police Training School in Ikeja, Lagos.
He was the Executive Director/COO of Kon-x Limited, a building, marketing and logistics organisation. He is the Managing Director of Steeltech Projects Limited and Henkay Energy Limited. He holds the concept that "Security is not an expense. It is an investment in your mandate." He equally believes in the concept of Total Security Coverage of Nigeria (TOSCON). He has Diploma Certificates in Cybercrime, Cybersecurity, Cyber Forensics and Cyber Hacking.
Career and Professional Work Security & Community Policing: He serves as the head of Template Consulting Limited and works as a trainer helping shape community policing frameworks alongside security agencies in Nigeria. He was a former lecturer at Imo State University, Owerri. Former Director, Security and Community Policing, Southwest Zone of PCRC. Mazi Agodi is also the Director-General of IMT Enugu Security Academy (IMTESA).
Author: He has written and co-authored publications including Principles of Purchasing and Supply, Community Policing: Securing The Gated Community: Facts, Cases and Nuggets as well as Basic Security and Safety Knowledge for Students and Parents.
Leadership: He leads the worldwide alumni network for IMT Enugu as National President, spearheading global homecomings and institutional partnerships.
